JoAnn Theresa Acord

JoAnn (Landry) Acord was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. JoAnn attended Bishop Byrne Catholic School before transferring to Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, where she graduated. She worked as a medical secretary for SETX Surgical Associates and took great pride in being able to assist others. Joann had a deep passion for dancing, especially for square dancing and jitterbugging. JoAnn passed down this love of dancing to her family. She also found joy in listening to zydeco music with her loved ones and in her crafting hobbies, which provided her with quiet moments for reflection. For JoAnn, family was the most precious gift of all, and she eagerly anticipated their annual week-long beach vacation, where everyone could gather and share in happiness.

JoAnn is survived by her Son and his Spouse, Richard and Josefina Savoy of Bridge City, her two daughters, Lisa Kay Gonzalez of Buna and Stacy Ann Guidry of Bridge City, her Step Daughter and Spouse, Cindy Dautreuil and Cecil Stimic of Bridge City, and her Brother and his spouse Daniel and Phyllis Landry of Cedar Park.

JoAnn is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Savoy and his partner Jeshua Roman Velez, Chelsea Lynn Savoy and her partner Bailey Moore, Brandi Michelle Gonzalez and boyfriend Thomas Flowers, Ashley Renee Gonzalez, Courtney Nicole Gonzalez, Tori Jo Guidry and boyfriend Dylan Garcia, and Joshua Guidry.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her Father, Lovelace Landry, and Mother, Delta (Dore) Landry, her late husband Raymond Dautreuil, and her son-in-law George Gonzalez.

The family would like to acknowledge Avalon Place of Kirbyville and Olive Branch Hospice of Jasper for the amazing care they took of JoAnn and for the joy and peace they provided her.

A Gathering of Family & Friends for JoAnn will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:50 PM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas 77642, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. JoAnn will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
