Joan Barling Arceneaux, 85, of San Antonio passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Port Arthur, TX. Joan was born April 10, 1930 in Greenville, TX to the late J.C. and Ina Barling. Joan was known to be an animal lover. She was married to her late husband, R.L. Arceneaux for over 60 years. While Mr. Arceneaux was in the Air Force they did extensive traveling, such as France and Spain to name a few.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Barling and Ina Inez Houser Barling; her loving husband, R.L. Arceneaux and one brother. She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Robert Arceneaux and wife Dee of Port Neches and Lynwood Arceneaux and wife Billy of Converse, TX, and sister-in-law, Pam Abadie and husband Ted of Vacherie, La. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A committal service for Joan Arceneaux will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at Fort Sam National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, Texas.
