Jhon Lopez, age 33, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and light to all who knew him.
Jhon is survived by his devoted parents, Juan and Sandra Lopez; his loving brother, Joe Lopez; and his sister, Brenda Hernandez, along with her husband Nicolas. He also leaves behind his cherished niece, Emily Hernandez, and his nephew, Jayden Hernandez. In addition to his immediate family, Jhon is remembered by a large and loving extended family and many dear friends who will continue to hold his memory close.
A skilled and dedicated welder by trade, Jhon was known for his strong work ethic and creativity—especially when it came to customizing trucks and building his own outdoor grill sets. Every holiday, he could be found at the grill, cooking up something delicious for those he loved most. Family was his everything, and he had a gift for bringing people together with laughter, especially the kids, whom he loved to joke with and entertain.
Jhon was also a passionate soccer fan, an avid fisherman, and someone who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—barbecues, the open road, and time spent with family. His big heart, playful spirit, and generous soul will be missed deeply.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Jhon’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas 77642. Following the visitation, a graveside celebration of Jhon’s life will take place at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, TX, where he will be laid to rest.
Though gone too soon, Jhon's legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will live on in all who knew and loved him.

Jhon López, de 33 años, residente de Port Arthur, Texas, falleció el sábado 5 de abril de 2025. Fue un querido hijo, hermano, tío y amigo, cuya presencia trajo calidez, alegría y alegría a todos los que lo conocieron.

La familia lo era todo para él, y tenía un don para unir a la gente con risas, especialmente a los niños, con quienes le encantaba bromear y entretener.
