Elmire M Guillory

moving to Kilgore to live with her son, Alfred, in 2017, after losing her home in the flood during Hurricane Harvey. She passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Elmire was born on April 9, 1931 to Nelton and Lucille Lavergne. She had two sisters, Theresa and Dulce, and one brother John Dewey. She was married to Fredey Guillory for 49 years. They had three children, Michael, Alfred and Reba, three grandchildren, Amber, Lindsey and Jesi, and one greatgrandchild, Shiloh, all whom she loved dearly. She loved to cook, bake, and just visit with others every chance she could. She had a heart of gold and loved catering to those she loved. Elmire was a true example of strength, dedication, loyalty and selflessness. She had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help others.

Elmire was preceded in death by her husband, Fredey, along with her sisters and brother. She is survived by her children, Michael Guillory and wife, Darlene, Alfred Guillory, and Reba Harris and husband, Scott, three grandchildren, Amber Guillory, Lindsey Harrell and Jesi Harrell, and one great grandchild, Shiloh Harrell, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will have visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Funeral services with be at Grammier-Oberle on Tuesday at 10:00 AM March 21, 2023 with burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland,TX.
