Clifford Lee Burke Sr.

Clifford Lee Burke Sr., age 75, of Chester, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Clifford was born October 8, 1945 and was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired as a Captain with the Port Arthur Fire Department. Clifford was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and of the SALT Club.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Donna Diane Burke; a daughter, Sheena Lynn Burke; a sister, Cecile Bonnette and a brother, Keith Burke. Survivors are his sons, Clifford Lee Burke, Jr. of Port Arthur and Shawn Root and his wife Alicia of Seabrook and a daughter Errin Cox and her husband Richard of Groves. He also leaves behind his 10 grandchildren, Daniel Root, Krista McCaleb, Meagan Roshto, Justin Roshto, Julianna Root, Zoie Monroe, Phoebe Burke, Camden Monroe, Merrick Monroe and Catherine Root and 6 great grandchildren, David McCaleb, Rylan Lowe, Skylar McCaleb, Jaelynn Montgomery, Addelyn Montgomery and Atlas Root. Clifford also leaves his companion Lupe Long.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Service honoring Clifford's Life will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 1:00PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland and the family will receive friends there beginning 1 hour prior to service time.

The interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
