Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth (mother) and Michael (father) and Kody (Grandson), Bill is survived by his loving wife Chris of almost 52 years. Bill is also survived by his sister Bev and sons Mike (Andrea) and Nick (Michelle) as well as Bill’s own children, daughter Sharon (Kurt), son Bill (Angie), his loving grandkids Jayme (Reese), Kole (Heather), Brayden (Amanda), Kyana, Conner (Mikaela). Bill is also survived by numerous other family members on his wife’s side.
Most of you may know Bill as a “tough guy”, but those who know him well or ever had a chat with him know he was very caring and would give you the shirt off his back. Bill was born and raised in Port Alberni, he spent many years working at the Plywood’s followed by APD, then enjoyed some of his retired years working as a security guard. Bill was most definitely a family man and was always a joker right until the very end. Bill spent a lot of his spare time enjoying walks with Dakota, his well-loved and spoiled dog. Bill loved to travel and spent countless hours planning his & Chris’s road trips, down to the very last stop. Bill was a huge car lover, and always had one car that he would baby, it stayed under cover until the sun came out and was constantly shined up!
Bill’s death was very unexpected, he fought a tough but very short battle, his last words to his wife were “I’m in the hands of the Lord now.” May you rest in peace Bill, we love you.
Many thanks to the incredible E.R. team at W.C.G.H, who fought so hard for him, we appreciate you. Much love and thanks to the numerous friends and family for your support during this difficult time.
