Survived by his loving wife, Angel; children Trina (Glenn) and Erin (Dave); grandchildren Mariah, Garin, Elliot, and Graham; siblings Glenna and Loretta (Sandy); sister-in-law Helen (Steve); nieces and nephews Christine (Dennis), Valerie, Fred (Cindy), Danny (Keri), Nicole (Jason), Doreen (Dave); extended family Riley (Desiree) and Luke as well as his constant companion Remi.
Born and raised in Port Alberni, Terry loved being in the valley and believed that he lived in paradise. He graduated from ADSS and went to work for M & B at the Pulp Mill. After a short time there, Terry decided to see the world and traveled through Europe for over a year before returning back to the Valley. Throughout his career he has worked as a deck hand on a fish boat, and as a logger, a driller, a blaster and a machine operator for Sproat Lake Division, as well as multiple other Island logging companies before ending his career with McKay Logging. He retired at age 60. When not working, Terry loved experiencing the outdoors. Whether it be fishing – both salt and freshwater – hunting and gardening. He enjoyed it all with Remi by his side. Another of Terry’s proud accomplishments was his gift of growing big pumpkins – sometimes up to 1000lbs.
According to Terry’s wishes, no formal services to take place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Stories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the SPCA, 4936 Broughton St, Port Alberni., BC., V9Y 7L9
