Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Louis, sister Gloria and parents, Viola and Harley.
She will be sadly missed by daughters Lorraine (Guy), Louise (Herb), Cindy, Colleen (Dave), and Carolyn; son Gary; grandchildren Thadd, Ashley (Neil), Nick, Tyler, Kent (Rebecca), Lee, and Louis; and great-grandchildren Kaleb and Lyla.
A joyful spark has been extinguished. Sylvia will be remembered as a force to be reckoned with, a feisty, joyful and life loving woman. During her time in the Alberni Valley she has been involved in many things. Most notably The Barkley Sound Choir, which was Sylvia’s inspiration spanning the last 20 years. She remained their manager until just a few years ago. She was the Chair of Heritage Place – Assisted Living facility and President of her Strata
Council.
