Radvila, Peter a long term Port Alberni resident and retired Alpulp millright, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 31, 2012. Peter is survived by his loving wife Sally and children, Chris, Susan and Gail; four granddaughters, Emily, Kaila, Becky and Chloe and his first great grandson, Kalani as well as nieces and nephews in Canada and Lithuania.
Born in Lithuania, Peter immigrated to Canada in the early 1950's and lived briefly in Toronto. Seeking work, Peter crossed the country to Vancouver where he met and married Sally. Sally and Peter lived for a time in Kitimat and Tahsis and ended up in Port Alberni, a place that he loved. Peter’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, swimming and building his cabin on Sproat Lake for his family to enjoy. Peter was a devoted follower of international and local news. He enjoyed going for coffee with his friends and former work mates.
He will be sorely missed by family and friends and remain in our hearts forever.
