When we think of Lorraine Joann Riches-Fry many words and thoughts come to us. Compassionate, kind, caring, loving, hardworking, go-getter. When she put her mind to something she made it happen. Most of all we are reminded of her dedication and devotion to her family and friends. She had an unconditional love for the people in her life. Once you were in Lorrie's embrace, she did anything she could and was there in anyway possible.
Lorrie was a survivor, nothing ever got her down. Her positive perspective was present even in the worst situations. She had the great ability to bring out the best in all those around her. That's why we all loved her so much. Just being in her presence put a smile on your face.
Lorrie was born in Ontario on March 29, 1958. Her parents were Alan and Wanda Riches. She was raised in Toronto with her brothers Randy and Allen. In her late 20's she headed to the West Coast, where she instantly fell in love with the area and settled in Coombs. She became a devoted Foster Parent for 20 years as well as having many other jobs. Lorrie could never sit still and had to be doing something all the time.
Lorrie was imaginative, ingenious, clever and a "novel" thinker. Regardless of whether her peers were older or younger or came frorm different backgrounds, Lorrie could easily relate.
Lorrie will be missed by everyone who knew her.
