Joshua Lee Barnes

Josh was deeply loved by many including his Mom Lisa Barnes; Father Len (Susan) Barnes; his Sister Aria (Brian, Damian, Lunabella, Journey, Winslowgrace, Luke, John) Chase; Brothers Tyler (Lisa McAnulty) Barnes and Caleb Barnes; Grandparents Wayne & Ellie Merk and Lenard & Kathy Barnes and Grandmother Sherry Marr. Josh was received well in Port Alberni and was loved by friends, extended family and many others in our community.

One of his biggest loves and enjoyments in life was his motorcycle. You could often find him down at the Harbor Quay which was one of his favorite spots. Josh has loved animals his entire life. He was kind and compassionate and cared for them well. Josh did not discriminate, he did not judge others and understood the true value of all life. Josh was an exceptional gamer and in addition to his skill, he built lasting relationships with gamers worldwide. Josh was a creative person and he expressed this in many ways: drawing, writing, making statues, videography among others. Josh was loving, gentle, caring, kind, loyal, smart, and extremely generous. Josh was very clever and humorous. In addition to being a deeply spiritual being, Josh was a philosophically rich soul and deep thinker, offering unique and meaningful insights to those around him who asked. He had a gift of being a true listener and knew and understood those he loved for who they truly are.

We would like to welcome you to attend Josh’s Celebration of Life on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Jericho Road Church, 5100 Tebo Avenue Port Alberni.
