Sharma; Jaswanti Devi passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 87 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Ramji Dass Sharma, she is survived by her family: children: Balwinder Sharma (wife Weena), Subhash Sharma, Rajinder Sharma (wife Sonia), Vijay Sharma (wife Shakti) and Sulaxna Dass (husband Purkash) as well as 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue, with cremation following at the East Indian Crematorium on Saunders Rd. Immediately following the cremation prayers will be offered at the Gurdwara Temple, 4741 Montrose Ave., Port Alberni.
