Gallagher, James "Jock" passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, September 8, 2011.
Predeceased by wife Edith, son Tim and 1 brother. Jock is survived by children; Ian (Heather), Karen (Ken), Julie (David), Elaine and Jamie; 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sisters Theresa, Bridget and Margaret; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Jock enlisted in the RAF during World War II and was proud of his service. He came to the Alberni Valley in 1967 and started Regency Upholstery which he owned and operated for more than 20 years. Jock had a creative nature and loved to draw, paint and do carpentry. He loved Soccer and was active well into his 60's, as well as swimming and walking. Jock was involved with his family and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Br #55.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 17, 2011 from the Jericho Road Church, 5100 Tebo Road, with Pastor John Cox officiating.
