James Raymond Thomas Cooper of Port Alberni, British Columbia passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the age of 76. “Ray” was born in Winnipeg on Nov 8, 1946.
Ray worked in a couple different jobs, but his love of employment was found in the forest industry where he stayed until retirement. Ray had a strong love for our Lord and Savior. He was well known in retirement for his very long walks up the hump and to Bamfield Rd. He found great joy in picking up cans and bottles to donate to less fortunate. Ray helped anyone who asked and anyone he heard was in need. He loved giving. Ray enjoyed painting, woodworking and also collecting antiques.
Ray passed peacefully at Westhaven facility with Linda at his side.
Survived by his loving brother Rory Alun Cooper and other relatives; his best friend and companion Linda Fischer, and best buddy Ken H.
There will be no formal service, as was his request. Donations to the Grace Point Ministries Church would be appreciated.
