Rose.Rosalie.Dereck.Stephen.and Glenn's families..My condolences go out to you all, I was truly shocked to hear of his passing. Glenn was my boss and friend while I was working in the family run business of Rose's Sweet Shop, it was more an experience of fun than a job as Glenn was a delight to work for. It was one job that I truly missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Glenn's sudden passing. As a former teacher and coach at A.W.Neil Junior High School I remember his student days well, especially his enthusiasm for Basketball. Although I left Port Alberni in 1980, whenever I saw Glenn on return visits,he greeted me as an old friend,and I was greatly impressed by his accomplishments,his devotion to the community and his zest for life.My deepest sympathy goes out to Glenn's family,loved ones and friends.He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Glenns passing.  He was a great boss(Rose's Sweet Shop) and a kind, good man.  He will be very very missed.

The entire Speidel family sends sincere condolences to the Wong family.  Great memories from our childhood followed by great respect for his work in his adult life has touched us all.  Our prayers go with the family and please take great comfort in the legacy that Glenn has left for both his family and his community. My favorite remembrance of Glenn Wong: The people of Port Alberni were angry that the school board had decided to build the new high school on Sweeney Field without any community consultations. While other school officials made excuses, Glenn stood up and said "I'm sorry". A leader with ethics, integrity and a backbone. He will be missed.

Glenn was a childhood friend and I am thankful that I was able to reconnect with him in the last several years. I will remember his positive energy and beautiful smile. My heart goes out to the Wong family.

Glen was  a true gentlemen and will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to have done so  I feel blessed to have known him all these years and will miss that wonderful smile our condolences to all the family. Zelda & Gary Van Den Broek.

I was saddened to hear of Glenn's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know him through our involvement in municipal politics. Glenn's passion and thoughtfull contribution to any discussion or debate was much valued and respected. When we met and shook hands last thursday in Victoria, little did I think it would be for the last time. He was very interested and supportive of me in my battle with cancer. He lifted my spirits with his infectious everpresent smile. Unfortunately I cannot attend his Memorial but my thought's will be of Glenn and I will be there in spirit.
