It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald Freeman in Port Alberni on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 80.
Don was born in Renown, Saskatchewan to Belle and Howard Freeman. He was predeceased by his wife Jean, his parents, one sister, Frances (Bruce) Hart, and one brother, Jim Freeman. Don will be lovingly remembered by his children Darren (Karen) Freeman and Tannis (Michael) Nielsen; and grandchildren Jordan, Connor, Jenna, and Kayla. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Doreen (Lawrence) Stephan, his brothers George (Genevieve) Freeman and Richard (Elroy) Freeman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, Jan 26, 2014 at the Chapel of Memories, 4005 – 6th Ave., Port Alberni with a reception following at the Italian Hall. No flowers by request.
