Shirley Anne Myrick

Shirley Anne Myrick, age 81, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. Shirley was born October 6, 1938 to Les and Vessie Thigpen Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Poplarville and a member of Hickory Spring Baptist Church. Shirley worked with Poplarville Public Library for several years. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading books and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, James Edward Myrick; son James Myron Myrick; two brothers, Billy Davis and Bobby Davis; two sisters, Joyce Applewhite and Carolyn Dodds and companion of five years Charles R. Rester.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jo Michelle Pittman of Poplarville, MS; her brother, George W. Davis of Belle Chasse, LA; grandchildren, Michael Russell, Felicia Dedeaux (Troy) of Poplarville, MS, Leslie Thomas of Italy and Justin Myrick of Poplarville, MS.; great grandchildren, Saylor and Caylee Russell of TN, Jessica, Jaylynne, Addison and Ryan Dedeaux of Poplarville, MS, Evin Myrick of Poplarville, MS and Annabeth Davis of TX; great-great grand twins, Waylon and Weston Russell of TN and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service held with family at a later date.
