Ruby Smith Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell was born July 3, 1929 in Derby, Mississippi to Herbert Ernest Smith and Juanita Harvey Smith. She was a longtime employee of the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department; a homemaker; and a member of Derby Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Labrie Mitchell; and one sister, Pinky Stockstill.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Mitchell and his wife Shelly, Kelly Mitchell and his wife Pam; six grandchildren, Reid Mitchell, Karly Slade and her husband Austin, Nathan Mitchell and his wife Kim, Benjamin Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, and Stephen Mitchell; one great grandson, Fisher Wayne Slade, and one sister, Ernestine Smith.

Memorial services will be at Derby Baptist Church, 7 Dupont Harts Chapel Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
