Roger W. King

Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Carl Myers will officiate the service. Burial will follow in New Palestine Cemetery, Picayune. Visitation will be one prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral Home.

Mr. King was born November 26, 1940 in Seattle, Washington to William Francis King and Helen King. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Electronic Technician Chief with the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Sherard Byrd and Moses Cook Masonic Lodge and a member of First Baptist Church in Poplarville, where he sang in the choir.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Garland King; two brothers, Corvan King and Forrest King.

Family members include four children; Cindy Krough, David R. King (Christy), Emmett Meitzler (the late Loraine), Garland Meitzler; three grandchildren, Emmett Meitzler, III, Corina Krough, David Krough (Amanda); one great grandchild, Freya Krough; two sisters, Lois Renchausen, Audrey King, and a host of extended family friends
