June Marie Lee Wheat

June Marie Lee Wheat, age 82 passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at her residence in Poplarville, MS. She was a seamstress at Movie Star, Inc. where she retired and was a member of Crossroads United Pentecostal Church in Poplarville.

Mrs. Wheat was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Wheat; daughter, Betty Davis; son Billy Wayne Wheat; parents, Henry Lee and Marie Colette Lee; sisters, Linda Jarrell, and Jean Smith; brother, Henry “Bubba” Lee; and a grandson, Cody Wheat. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughters, Mable Marie Adcox (James) of Poplarville, and Belinda Shields (Donald) of Carriere, MS; her son, Harry Wheat of Poplarville; a brother, Clement Lee (Merly) of Picayune, MS; eight grandchildren, Michael Wheat, Thomas Davis, Timothy Davis, Vernon Davis, Kristina Wheat, Alton Fodor, Amanda Robinson, and Ashley Buffinet; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Crossroads United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the church with Reverend Russell Crowe and Reverend Kirk Hoelzel, presiding. Burial will follow at Crossroads United Pentecostal Church Cemetery assisted by Michael Wheat, Timothy Davis, Vernon Davis, Alton Fodor, Jessie Buras, and Rusty King as pallbearers.
