John William Lumpkin

John William Lumpkin, age 69, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. John was a lifelong resident of Carriere, Mississippi and a member of The Life Church of Picayune, Mississippi.

He left his footprint everywhere building bridges and roads in Pearl River County. John was a hard worker, witty, funny and an old soul with many talents. He was a mentor to many young hard working men. He was loved and respected by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents C.M. and Bonnie Lumpkin.

John is survived by his loving wife, Diane Miller Lumpkin, one sister; Annette Lumpkin Hawthorne (Royce), one brother; Rocky Lumpkin (Dianne) and his nieces and nephews, Tabitha, Boo, Chris, Staci and Traci.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend John's Funeral services on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at The Life Church of Picayune, 801 Hwy 11 South, Picayune, MS, at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Carriere 1st Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Leo will officiate the services.
