Jean Buck departed this life into God’s presence on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the age of 85. Jean was born on April 4, 1938 to Everett and Julia Arthur. After moving to the Mississippi gulf coast from Kentucky at the age of three, Jean graduated from Gulfport High School and attended Mississippi State University. Jean met her husband, Bob, when she was 17 years old and they lived an incredible and exciting life together. After attending MSU, they opened “The Rocking B” Ranch where they raised Quarter Horses and Black Angus cattle. They ventured out, opening Bucks Antiques in Biloxi and also had plant nurseries in Lumberton, Biloxi and Florida. Jean loved to travel, raising Christmas Cacti and other varieties of plants. She was devoted to her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded by her parents, Everett Herndon Arthur and Julia Dempsey Arthur; her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Buck; her sister, Ann Arthur; and brother, Everett “Buddy” Arthur.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her children; Stacy Buck (Kevin Morris) and Todd Robert Buck; and her grandchildren, Robert William Buck, Todd “TJ” Robert Buck Jr., Taylor Joy Buck and Kristen Lee Morris.
