Gerald L. Davis

Mr. Davis was born December 14, 1942 in Poplarville to Robert L. Davis and Mallie Smith Davis. He was a retired Captain with the Starkville Police Department. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1977. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Myrna Lynn Bridges Davis.

Left to cherish his memories are two sons, Shane Davis, Scott Davis and his wife, Paula; two brothers, Larry Davis and his wife, Janice, Keith Davis; one sister, Bobby Lynn Adcox and her husband Hugh; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Michael, Thomas, Brooke; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Gavyn, Jayce; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be members of the Starkville Police Department.
