Mr. Ladner was born February 23, 1931 in Poplarville, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Pearl River Community College, where he was recognized as being a star basketball player. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the US Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Statistical Service. Mr. Ladner was also a dairy and cattle farmer and a faithful member of Plainview Baptist Church. He will be best remembered as being an ardent servant of the Lord; a dedicated family man; enjoying the outdoors and listening to music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. Ladner and Grace Swilley Ladner; one sister, Flossie Brown; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Ladner.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 71 years, Clara Faye Ladner; four children, Larry Ladner, Denver (Elaine) Ladner, Tony (Sugar) Ladner, Janice (Stony) Dedeaux; one brother, Dennis (Sue) Ladner; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home (315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Carlos Ladner Cemetery (2736 Silver Run Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470). The family will receive friends and have visitation from 10:00 am until services, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Ladner, Eric Ladner, Cole Dedeaux, Tate Shaw, Jayden Shaw, Westin Shaw, Jeffrey Flynn, Kyle Deckwa, and Warren Martin.
