Ellen Maria Stewart

Services will be at White Funeral Home, Poplarville on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She was born December 20, 1943 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was retired from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She was an alumnus of Robert E. High School (Class of 1962) in Montgomery, AL and the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Picayune, MS.

Family members are her husband, Guerry Stewart; three sons, Charles (Laura) Stewart, James Guerry (Yvonne) Stewart, Frank Lee (Lynel) Stewart; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Paulette Worthington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Paul and Alice Virginia Trummer Bird; and her grandmother, Maria Trummer.
