Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Miss. 39470; on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Ed King will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, 53 Capt Smith Lane, Poplarville, Miss. 39470. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Smith was born in Lena, Mississippi on May 3, 1933 to Robert L. and Lula Bell Christian Jackson. She was a homemaker; a member of: Oak Hill Baptist Church, AARP (Poplarville Chapter), Order of Eastern Star, and Pearl River County Cattlemen’s Association.

Family members include her husband, Captain Harold W. Smith; five children; Johnny Smith, Ruth (Strother) Sacra, Bill (Laurie) Smith, Neva (Greg) Thomas, Bryan Smith; one sister, Sara Pierce; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Lennard, Janice Rogers; one brother, Robert L. Jackson, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Caprice Wilkerson.
