Brandy Thames, age 41, of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She graduated from Pearl River Community College Nursing program. She received a Bachelor's Degree at USM and was working toward completion of her Master's degree of Nursing. Brandy was a dedicated, highly skilled, wonderful nurse for 18 years. She also proudly served in the United States Army, in the Middle East and Korea, and assisted civilians during hurricane Katrina. Brandy was known for being fearless, determined, tough, and hard working. She was notorious for her meticulous attention to detail and organization. Anyone that knew Brandy will attest that she was a master planner and was never without multiple lists, files, and calendars…..all color coded and highlighted. That was her way of managing the chaos and keeping everyone on track!
Brandy had a deep love for the ocean and cherished spending time by the water. She found joy in riding motorcycles, capturing the beauty and peacefulness of sunsets and sunrises, but most of all spending time with her three children, many friends, and fiancé’ Chris. Her children were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them and provided them with love, guidance, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her three beloved children, Bryson Andrews, McKenzie Thames, and Oren Thames; parents, Clyde and Kelley McClendon; fiancé', Chris Lott; her siblings, Melanie Schmidt, LeAnna McClendon-Chervenak, Autumn High, Alan McClendon (Nikki Main); and grandparents, Betty Bias and Ernestine McClendon.
Family and friends are invited to attend Brandy's Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, March 21, 2024 for 5:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. There will be a second Celebration of Life held at Buoys, located at 115 South Beach Blvd. in Bay St. Louis, MS held on Sunday, March 24, from 3 to 7 PM.
Brandy had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially dogs. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Stone County S.P.C.A . 1989 MS 26, Wiggins, MS 39577: 601-928-1930. Brandy’s vibrant spirit and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
