Billy Ray Wheat

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday June 11, 2011 at the Mill Creek Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Picayune for Mr. Billy Ray Wheat, 73, of Picayune, Mississippi who died Tuesday June 7, 2011 in Highland Community Hospital, Picayune. Brother Shadrack Barnett and Reverend Ed Daly will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Crossroads United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

He was a Preacher and a Painter; and attended Mill Creek Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, June Lee-Wheat of Picayune, MS; one son; Harry Wheat and his wife Sandra of Kiln, MS; five daughters, Betty Jean Davis and her husband Tommy of Picayune, MS, Mable "Reese" Adcox and her husband James, both of Picayune, MS, Belinda "Lindy" Shields and her husband Donald of Carriere, MS, Nancy "Nunu" Daly and her husband Ed, and Sandra Millis and her husband James, both of Picayune, MS; three brothers, Walton "Tom" Wheat of Henleyfield, MS, Oneal Wheat, and Jerry Wheat, all of Crossroads, MS; four sisters, Pearlie "Sis" Warner of Bogalusa, LA, Ruby Miller of Meridian, MS, Rose Odom of Crossroads, MS, and Betty "Bet" Duncan of Bogalusa, LA; eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mable Passman Wheat; one son, Billy Wayne Wheat; and two brothers, Luther Wheat and Joey Wheat.

Visitation will be Friday June 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until services on Saturday at 10:00 am at Mill Creek Church of the Lord Jesus Christ 1239 Rock Ranch Rd Carriere, MS 39426.
