Terry Lee Hellums

Terry Lee Hellums, age 57, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born December 2, 1957 to David Reed Hellums and Gladys Lura Bishop Hellums. He was an employee of MDOT in Pontotoc and attended Turnpike Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, caring for animals, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren and fixing things.

Services will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Pete Gregory, Rev. J.T. Pennington and Dr. Ken Hester officiating, burial will follow in the Turnpike Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife: Becky Self Hellums, of Thaxton , MS; three sons: Anthony Black and wife: Heather of Pontotoc, MS; David Hellums and wife: Jana of Fulton, MS and Jeremy Hellums and wife: Laura of Thaxton, MS; three brothers: Jerry Hellums and wife: Patricia of Corinth, MS, Danny Hellums and wife: Nickey of Houlka, MS and Nick Hellums of Randolph, MS; one sister-in-law: Gloria Hellums of Evansville, IN; his father-in law: Waymon Lamar Self and wife Sue; one brother-in-law: Terry Self and wife: Jill of Pontotoc, MS; two grandchildren: Mandalyn Black and Jeremiah Hellums; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother: Max Hellums, mother-in-law: Vera Dearman Self and a sister-in-law: Brenda Foster Self.

Pallbearers will be: Robbie Hellums, Sam Self, Ronnie Self, Steve Tackitt, Leamon Martinez, Mike Hellums, Wilbur Hill and Jimmy Canerdy. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeremiah Hellums, Joe Bryant, Gary Washington, Duayne Holloway, Ricky Hill, Matt Moss, Jimmy Wheeler, Angy Spradling, David Steward, Harlan Hamblin and Kevin Lunn.
