Sheila Lorene Robinson

Sheila Lorene Robinson, age 85, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born August 23, 1931 to Nona Bell Heavener Michael and J.D. Michael. She was a homemaker and former co-owner of Pontotoc Dry Cleaners. She was a member of West Heights Baptist Church. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting and cooking.

Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Hamilton and Rev. Kevin Brown officiating; burial will follow in the West Heights Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Hammett (Jim) of Irving, TX and Kathy Watson (Jimmy) of Pontotoc, MS; one son, Dennis Robinson of Pontotoc, MS; three sisters, Rosie Lee Manley of Booneville, MS, Johnnie Faye Switcher of Corinth and Flora Mae Hutcheson of Fulton, MS; one brother, Billy Michael of Booneville, MS; four grandchildren, Gail Lee (Alvin), Dale Watson, Becky Bean (Wade) and Emily Hammett, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, A.J. Robinson, two sisters, Frances Ricketts and Evelyn Robinson and two brothers, Ivian Michael and Harold Michael.

Pallbearers will be Bill Rutledge, Scott Dodson, Bud Michael, Larry Plunkett, Bobby Foreman and Alvin Lee.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to West Heights Baptist Church, 328 W. 8th Street, Pontotoc, MS 38863.
