Robert Edward Chapman Jr.

Robert Edward “Bob” Chapman, Jr., age 62, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 21, 1954 to Shirley Walls Chapman and Robert Edward Chapman, Sr. He was a graduate of Gulf Port High School and a General Contractor. Bob was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Civitans and “The Body of Christ”. He enjoyed golfing, listening to good music and spending time with his family. Bob’s favorite quote was, “Keep the Lord first”.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvin Crawley officiating; burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family.

Survivors include his wife, Dee Chapman of Pontotoc, MS; three sons, Chad Chapman (Sara) of Louisville, MS, Drew Chapman (Jade) and Will Chapman, both of Pontotoc, MS; his Mother, Shirley Walls Chapman of Pontotoc, MS; three sisters, Cheryl Griffin (Roger) of Wingate, NC, Renee Hamilton (Jamie) of Tupelo, MS and Susie Chapman of Pontotoc, MS; four grandchildren, Indee Chapman, Hank Chapman, Bo Chapman and Zeke Chapman; and he was “GUB” to many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Larry Steven Chapman.

Pallbearers will be David White, Michael Chapman, Harold Floyd, Jamie Hamilton, Ron Davis and Joey Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Brock, Johnathan Brock, Jerry Chapman, Roger Griffin, Jerrad Griffin and Trent Griffin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
