Raymond Roy "Pete" Stepp

Raymond Roy “Pete” Stepp, age 78, died Monday, January 26, 2015. He was a 1955 Graduate of Ecru High School and attended Itawamba Community College. He was a retired supervisor in the furniture industry. He was a member of Cairo Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran serving at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Dempsey Rowland officiating; burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens with military honors. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Swords Stepp; two daughters: Deb Adams and husband Lanny, and Renee Stepp; one son: Randle Stepp and wife Telethia; one sister: Jean Lamons; one brother: Talmadge Dewitt Stepp and wife: Verline; three grandchildren: Scarlett Cates and husband Dean, Wesley Adams and wife Laci, and Hannah Stepp; and six great-grandchildren: Lillianna Grace Cates, Gunner Cates, Tucker Cates, Evan Adams, Fisher Adams and Indi Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Roy B. Stepp and Doshie McLaughlin Stepp; a brother: Windham “Doc” Stepp and a grandson: Noah Cade Stepp.
