Mike Thomas

Pontotoc - Michael Wayne "Mike" Thomas, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Bentonville, AR. He was born August 7, 1954 to Wayne and Willie Ese Thomas. He was a member of Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, where he was the Adult Sunday School Teacher and Song Director. He had worked at Comfort Care/Smith Nephew for 10 years before joining Wal-Mart where he had worked for 27 years and was currently the Southeast Division HVAC/R Manager. He was also a member of the Pontotoc Masonic Lodge #81, the Eastern Star and the Hamasa Shriner's. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Ratliff and Rev. Norman Nowell officiating; burial will follow at In Good Faith Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is assisting the family.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Ann Graham Thomas; two daughters, Felicia Thomas Gillespie (Jim) and Brandi Whiteside (Scott); one sister, Mary Sullivan (Kenny) and his grandchildren, Braxton and Ava Whiteside, Darby and Shelby Childress and Jordan, Savannah and Audrey Gillespie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patsy Ann Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Tony Steele, Joey Sandlin, Norman Nichols, Lee Graham, Rusty Collums, Kurt Thompson, Brad Sullivan and Ross Fleming.Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Sullivan, Boe Huffstatler, Lamon Graham, Larry Kelly, Jimmy Forman, Reid Graham, Ray Dillard and Wal-Mart Associates.
