Mary Helen Davis, age 88, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Diversicare in Southaven, MS. She was born April 14, 1930 to Claude Clay Franklin, Sr. and Eula Pearl Hill Franklin. She was a member of Turnpike Baptist Church. Mary retired from Parts, Inc., in Memphis, after working as an Office Administrator for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Pete Gregory officiating; burial will follow in the Turnpike Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Lee (Doug), and Betty Sue Davis, both of Southaven, MS; one son, Michael Davis (Rebecca) of Bartlett, TN; three sisters, Micki Walls, of Memphis, TN, Polly McCarter, of Pontotoc, MS and Shirley Franklin ,of Memphis, TN; one brother, Claude Clay Franklin, Jr. of Sara, MS; three grandchildren, Zack Lee, Miranda Davis and Marissa Harber; and three great-grandchildren, Colton Lee, Tenley Harber and Tatum Harber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie Hoyt Davis, Jr., and two sisters, Jean Winters and Wendy Gilwreath.
Pallbearers will be Zack Lee, Colton Lee, Danny Collums, Philip Hewett, Billy McCarter and Michael Davis.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
