James Louis “Bill” Grisham, Sr., age 81, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born December 29, 1935 to Minnie Frauline Welch Grisham and John Lee Grisham. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for 50 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed driving a truck and he loved his dog.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Marty Browning officiating; burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Union County, MS. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his three sons, James Grisham (Shelia), Ricky Grisham (Kay) and Kenneth Grisham (Rhenee) all of Pontotoc, MS; one sister, Elizabeth Seale of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, Claude Grisham of Littleton, CO; eight grandchildren, Kalista Stanford (Clint), Jay Grisham (Beth), Ashley Grisham, Brooke Grisham, Karlee Grisham, Kim Grisham, Chris Grisham and Charlie Grisham; six great-grandchildren, Caleb Grisham, Presley Stanford, Cas Stanford, Walker Brooks, Malachi Layton and Jareth Grisham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sarah Jean Grisham, two daughters, Chequtia Grisham and Sharon Grisham; two great-grandsons, Payton and Lexton Stanford; and three brothers, Ted Grisham, Doug Grisham and Clyde Grisham.
Pallbearers will be Jay Grisham, Caleb Grisham, Chris Grisham, Charlie Grisham and James Grisham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
