Bobby Hershel Watts, age 72, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Pontotoc, MS. He was born to Toy Watts and Goldie Massey Watts. He attended Macedonia High School in Myrtle, and owned and operated a grocery store for many years in Pontotoc, raced cars, worked at G1 Racing and Auto Zone in Pontotoc.
He enjoyed gardening, racing and was known as the “fix-it-man”.
Services will be at 2:00pm Friday, November 14, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc, with Rev. Chris Carter officiating; burial will follow in the Jernigan Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his soul mate of 20 years: Wanda Speight of Pontotoc, MS; his daughter: Allison Hopper and husband Gordon of Tupelo, MS; a sister: Evelyn Robertson of Pontotoc, MS; two brothers: Raymond “Jim” Watts and his wife Donna, and C.G. “Pete” Watts, both of Pontotoc, MS; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby brother.
Pallbearers will be: Roger Watts, Tyler Goggins, Steve Russell, Brad White, David K. Tutor and Corey Tutor. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Austin Drewery and Nick Romano.
