Betty Luyett

Betty Lou White Luyett, age 77, died Monday, March 04, 2013 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed growing house plants, crocheting, oil painting and her pets.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Pontotoc, MS, with Father Tim Murphy and Father Gerald Peterson officiating. The graveside service will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, Mo on Friday, March 8, 2013. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: Joseph G. Luyett; her four children: Susan Luyett Frazier and husband: Byron, Keith Bryan Luyett, Kenneth W. Luyett and Kelly Lynne Luyett, all of Pontotoc, MS; three sisters: Janet Mills of Iowa, Elaine Woolrige of St. Charles, MO and Joan White of Belleville, IL; five grandchildren: Jason M. Harper, Kenneth L. Luyett, Jr., Justin Levi Luyett, Megan Luyett and Heather Luyett; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence Darrow White and Ellen M. Sonko White; a son: Joseph G. Luyett, Jr. and a grandson: Joshua Luyett.
