Ben Ivy, age 59, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS on Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was an Army Veteran and worked in the Maintaince Department at Ashley Furniture in Ecru. He enjoyed cooking for his family.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Dr. Ken Hester officiating and Ronnie Day will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Cherry Creek Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Jennifer Ivy of Ecru; three daughters: Jessica Ivy of Brookings, OR, Jordan Ivy and Taylor Harmon, both of Pontotoc, MS; one son: Samuel Ivy of Pontotoc, MS; and five grandchildren, two sisters: Eloise Robinson of Quitman, MS and Juanice Singlton of Horn Lake, MS; one brother: George Ivy of Meridian, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Franklin Ivy and Susan Sladies Ivey Ivy; three sisters: Earlene Glass, Bonnie Ghosky and Willie May Braxin and two brothers: Cecil Ivy and Jerry Ivy.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Hatch, Jack Biffle, Jackie Biffle, Tim Williams, Tommy Turman and Richard Sepulvado. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ashley Maintaince Department.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday and from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
