Tom’s journey through life began in 1950, in Pennsylvania; and what a journey that man had!
He loved his family more than life itself. He will be greeted by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years Julie, and his son Chad, whom we are sure is waiting for him with a fishing rod in-hand.
He loved his children Arthur and Kaili, and he would take on the world for his grandchildren Christian and Alisha.
There was nothing he wouldn’t do for each of them, without batting an eyelash, nor thinking twice.
Tom grew up as a young boy here in Broward County, and enjoyed his life by surfing, fishing, and anything that had to do with the salty air & ocean.
His nickname “Digger” has stuck with him all these years. He was either digging a hole “to hide” his surfboards in the sand or digging a hole in the ground to build a lot of what we see around South Florida today.
He knew what he loved; his family, fishing, music, working, and all of the “little things” in life; he loved and enjoyed those things right until the very end.
Tom’s wishes were fulfilled as he passed peacefully in his sleep staring out at his 34’ “Tomcat” boat, the water, and the yard that he spent hour upon hour in the Florida sunshine making sure was absolutely perfect.
He knew what he wanted and nothing was going to stand in his way trying to obtain it. He worked harder than any man we know to make it all happen.
Thomas Howard Henderson will be missed by all that took the time to get to know him. There was nothing he wouldn’t have done for each and every one of them.
He will be missed each and every day.
“Keep the faith”.
