Ryan was my first friend in highschool. I came from a different school and I didn't know a soul at Cardinal Gibbons. My first week we had a group project to do, I didn't know anyone and everyone had partners already so I just figured I'd do it alone. Ryan already had a partner, but he saw that I was alone and offered to do it with me. We did our group projects together for the rest of the year. Ryan had so much emotional maturity at 14 to do that for a complete stranger he had never even seen before. RIP to a truly kind, caring and beautiful soul. I'll see you on the other side brother. thank you for going out of your way for me and for all of the wonderful memories🕊️🕊️🕊️ To the Kruse family: thank you for raising such a warm hearted and kind individual, I hope you saw from the turnout at the service how many people's lives your son touched. I'm so unbelievably sorry.

My coworker and friend every time we spoke it was all fun and jokes never a dull moment with you some times we didn’t even have to speak we just look at each other and start laughing imma miss you my G all love ❤️

my birthday again that he was at. always the life of the party. ryan i know we fell off a few months ago but just know that you always were special to me.

this was 2020 i invited him and michi to my birthday because it was a week apart and i loved to have him. i miss him so much i can’t wrap my head around the fact that this is not a nightmare. ❤️‍🩹💔

I first met Ryan at work. I was still new and a bit shy and didn’t really talk to anyone. Ryan was the first to make conversation when we met. He was very funny and made all the shifts we had together very fun. My favorite memory is when I was drawing on post it notes and we started drawing silly things and laughing about it. I will miss these days of laughter. I hope he found peace. Bye Ryan <3

I remember when I first met you Ryan. At work the first couple weeks we communicated through texts and were swapping shifts for your classes. And when we finally met in person I'll never forget how funny you were when you said "you're the one I've been switching shifts with" lol as you pointed at me like the spiderman meme. That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I will forever love and miss you! Fly high my dear friend.

All the memories and fun times we have spent together will forever remain with me. Ryan was kind and so loving. He was gifted and full of life and joy. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you and made sure to put a smile on my face. I keep replaying our times together. Just like that one time we baked a banana bread or when you taught me how to play poker. Thank you for always being yourself.  You are an inspiration and you left a piece of you in me that will share with the rest of the world. Forever in my heart and thoughts. Rest in peace Ryan. We will meet again my angel. 

My condolences go to Mr and Mrs Kruse, his family and friends. You have raised an incredible young man. The love and joy he spread and the people he touched. This world was a better place because of Ryan. God bless everybody.

I remember meeting ryan at work and hitting it off like we've always known each other. He always had a smile on his face with us and was so free spirited. He made work feel refreshing with his jokes, I couldn't have asked for a better coworker. I will cherish every moment I had. Thank you for raising such an amazing son.

Knowing Ryan in high school was truly a blessing in disguise. I first became friends with Ryan during F lunch freshman year. Every lunch period, by E wing, we would all be laughing, joking, and finding the good moments of being a kid in high school.  Looking back at it now, Ryan taught me a valuable lesson in life, to find a spark of joy in what we do each and every day. Ryan’s positivity and bright light was something to admire. My thoughts and prays are with you and your family.

We always were doing the most random things after school. Too many funny and fond memories to look back at. That will forever remain with me bud.

Ryan, you were a wonderful friend. I was really looking forward to seeing you around school again. I was happy to hear you were going to be going back to school and especially that we were going to be peers again. Even though that won’t be happening anymore. I’m still really proud of you, as you accomplished something many people don’t get to accomplished in their entire lives and it was to be good person. You were a young adult trying to get by and left your mark on us all. And all those marked by you will always carry that positive attitude that you always shared. I’m so grateful to have spent time with you and be able to call you a wonderful friend. Thank you Ryan. May you rest.

Ryan was the type of friend that always knew what to say to cheer me up even when I was having a bad day. He was always smiling, happy, and cracking jokes. It saddens me because I think the world needs more kind hearted people like Ryan. He loved and cared about others. Rest in peace my friend. We will meet again in heaven someday and share more laughs.

This was junior year of high school! I’ll always remember Ryan as someone who could make friends with anyone and always brought a goofy, lighthearted energy wherever he went. 🤍 I’ll miss you very much, Ryan. i remember this day: he was jumping over everyone and they all said he wouldn’t be able to jump over me because i’m too tall (5’11)… but of course he was able to ! he could and was doing everything he put his mind too. 

all he wanted was to make his family proud.

ryan was my best guy friend at gibbons. he’s helped me through so much and was always the best advice giver. he was such a chill person to be around, he always had a smile on his face. he was never negative no matter what he’d be going through. i am grateful i was able to know him. i will always cherish our time together.

he’d always want to take pics on our little excursions. i’m greatful for our memories.

One of the first memories that comes to me is how much Ryan loved my bunnies: Charlie and Lola. He would hang out at my house and we would just feed the bunnies and catch up. We had a lot of classes together at Gibbons and he always made me want to go to class because I knew I’d have someone to talk to. He was one of the first friends I remember talking to when I was in 9th grade. Ryan is a very sweet person and he will be missed by many.

Ryan was my friend in high school, and he had one of the most joyful and goofy personalities I’ve ever known. Even when he was upset, he’d almost always follow it with something positive—he had a way of finding light in everything.
I have so many hilarious and heartwarming memories with him: calling him “Stewart,” counting “grass beans,” giving each other “tattoos” in class (aka drawing all over each other when we should’ve been doing our work)… and so many more simple, sweet moments that keep coming back to me now.
Even after high school, Ryan continued to be a supportive friend, always cheering me on from afar.
I’ll always remember his joy, his jokes, and his kindness. I’ll miss you, my friend.
