We always just had to take our pic. tradition, by the absolutely gorgeous Christmas Tree. One year we were decorating. Rol, was on the ladder. I suddenly heard a crash on the white marble flooring. And a gasp, from Mrs. Jorge. All the ornaments in the box, the small vintage ones, smashed into tiny pieces. I looked up at Rol on the ladder, then looked down on the floor, then looked at Mrs, Jorge, then looked back at Rol. I started quietly laughing,  because of the expression on Rol’s face. His mom responded, “That is ok”, and went for the broom. Mrs Jorge, loves her ornaments! Rol, and I looked at each other again, and both said, “No, she’s not okay.”

Mom and Brian joined in all the festives, this year. Loving seeing Rolo’s family, and of course the buffet spread. Dr. Jorge loved showing me the latest artwork, he and Vicky acquired, during their cruising/travels. So many funny stories!

Rolo, this is when, I gifted her the crafted Santa Out House. Remember her laughing! She wanted you to put it on the tree, when everyone entered, they would see it!😂
What about the Macarena CD that I brought. Mom, laughing the entire time dancing. So much funs 💃🏻🕺🏼! 

This is one of the best Christmas ever, as I started to walk on my own. Rolo, and his fam., always gamed for my antics! We chalked the driveway(the kids used up the entire bucket of chalk there after. Rick even said, “Chalk was on the ceiling!” (LOL), gingerbread housing, and rum caking my God Mother, Auntie Diana, made. Mrs. Jorge, would order a rum cake from Auntie for their, Bridge game nights. They loved it!

Uncle Roland: Jude, what do I get the kids?
J: Waaa?! It is Christmas Day! Just pick up a bucket a giant chalk, they will love it! 
UR: Will they really like that?
J: Yes! It is the in thing! I have a ginger bread, for them to decorate. All put together.  And canisters of silly string! 
UR: Cool! See ya soon at Rick’s!


Dr. Jorge whips out his pocket knife, being the surgeon he is, and starts cutting into the side of the ginger bread house.
Dani: frowns
Uncle Roland: He is just making a window. Ok?
Dani: nods her head, yes🥰👩🏼‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳🏠

A favorite Jorge tradition, that I always look forward to, the Pompano Beach Boat Parade Par-Tay! Their home, decked out with much holiday cheer! Loving all of the ornaments, Mrs. Jorge, has collected through the years🥰🎄 

Losing a loved one is arguable, the hardest thing most people will go through. The loss of someone special and close to you, be that a friend, partner, or family member is devastating. And the grief we feel all too real. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day...unseen, unheard, but still loved, still missed, and very dear. 90 years...a beautiful life lived. Evident of the out pouring of family, friends, and dedications. We shared many stories of Dr. Rolando Jorge, and Vicki Jorge. So many memories made. Thank you, for always welcoming, and sharing your family with me, since I was 14 years old. RIP Dr. Rolando Jorge.

Family is the people in your life who wants you and in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who LOVE YOU, no matter what. 
 (Perfect timing when I was taking pics. of the flowers, to capture the Jorges. “Yes, get in, you’re a Jorge!” Oh my, at a viewing 😮)
 

Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back, and memories help comfort us tomorrow. The memories, will becomes a treasure in our hearts.
