Dear Uncle Rich , i dont know how to start this but i would love to say you mean the world to me.. the pain i felt when i heard you were gone was like no other.. almost a year since yu been gone and i still cant believe it. You were the greatest role model in my life. You kept me up, made me fight for what was right. You never gave up on me. You saw potential in me. For that i love you. You opened my mind to new thoughts and showed me the core values in life. You were my father.. you gladly took me under your wing. You knew my father passed away when i was young. And you made it your personal mission to make sure i never felt alone. You gave me everything and more. Way more than i ever asked uncle rich. God i have so many memories of us its not even funny. I break down everytime i think of you. Youd probably tell me to man up.. i know you would... but it's hard to man up when the strongest person in your life has fallen.. you taught me how to be the man i am today and your no longer here to help when im down. Its not your fault , i just wish you could be here. Im sorry you cant see me graduate.  That was my biggest dream. Listen where ever you are uncle rich i will make you proud. Ik youll be with me every step of the way through high school graduation  in june and Marine graduation in November and throughout my whole life. I now carry your ashes in a necklace and it will remain on my person forever. Youll never be forgotten and your lessons will be passed down generations. I love you uncle Rich.. Rest In Peace big guy , I'll make you proud

You were unique! I have so many memories!!! Disney with the cousins, we had such an amazing time!!!! South Beach, Your wedding...I will never forget!our converations!!!!!!I miss you more day by day but unfortunately nothing will change. Every time I look at those pictures  and I cant believe you are not with us anymore. My wedding!!! I was so happy you came! You passed and my son was born...I  know you are his and our guardian angel and every day I pray you RIP. I love you Rick!

Its been many years since Rich and I had communicated.   Never really sure how we ended up moving so far apart but as my roommate for 3yrs at Cornell he was a true friend and a Great Man!!
