Mike was born April 30, 1930 in Stamford, Connecticut. He was an honored U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. In 1958 he married the love of his life, MaryLou Winter, and was employed at the original Grade A Market in Stamford Connecticut, as their first meat manager, where he worked closely with the Cingari family for 28 years. Blessed with two sons – Michael and Bob, he was a devoted father and avid family leader - very involved with his sons, coaching their little league games for several years and participating in sporting events and other activities with them.
In 1986, Mike and his wife relocated to Lighthouse Point, Florida where he was employed by Publix Supermarket in the meat department. Mike was an avid golfer, tennis player and long-time member of the Lighthouse Point Tennis Center.
Mike was blessed with four grandchildren: granddaughters Jennifer and Melissa, and grandsons Robert and Richard; and two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Ryan. Mike was very close to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with nicknames like “pumkin” “punk” or “pop-pop”. He holds a special place in all six of his grandchildren’s hearts - his memory will be cherished by them forever.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, MaryLou; younger brother Carmine and his wife Anna; son Michael and his wife Michele; son Robert and his wife Trisha, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
