Marcia F. Howe

Marcia F. Howe, age 63, passed away on August 7, 2016 peacefully at her home in Pompano Beach, FL. She was the beloved wife of Jerome (Buzz) Howe for 34 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Kiarra Howe Roper, and identical twins, Courtney Howe and Shannon Howe; as well as Kiarra's husband Keegan Roper and their children Kenzie and Kiley who knew her as "Grambear". Marcia was preceded in death by parents, Emerson J. Clauss, Jr. and Helen Marren Clauss. She grew up in Cheshire, CT and obtained a nursing degree at the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse before retiring when her first daughter was born in 1983. The family then resided in Bethany & Branford, CT until the arrival of grandchild Kenzie Roper in Fort Lauderdale, FL which prompted Buzz & Marcia to move to FL full-time. Over many years, Marcia assisted her husband at Buzz Howe Agency, Inc. (Allstate Insurance) although anyone who knew her would say that "MBear" was the ultimate homemaker. She was a master chef and baker, talented seamstress, party planner extraordinaire, and she always did anything and everything to make even the most simple occasion special and, of course, fancy. She and Buzz shared a passion for boating so you'd often find them on the water, but she was most passionate about caring for her family and friends. Marcia is survived by three sisters and four brothers and their respective families/children: Margaret (Peggy) Gay and husband, Kenneth Gay; Elizabeth (Betty) Cromwell; Joan Clauss; Emerson Clauss, III and wife Susan; Kevin Clauss and wife, Christine (Chris); Gerald Clauss and wife, Ninette; Steven Clauss and wife, Susan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10-1pm with a 1pm Memorial Service at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 200 N.
