He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Ellen Rae Price on May 8, 1946. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 1, 1954. Survived by his wife Ellen Rae Butters, 2 daughters Jennifer Butters Smith and Kellen Butters, son-in-law James L. Smith, 2 grandchildren Jared Lee Smith and Jessica Smith Whelchel and 2 great grandchildren Hailey and Madison Whelchel. Services will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 28th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6160 Boulevard of Champions, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068.
