Joshua Peña Ortiz, age 19, of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Coconut Creek, Florida. He leaves behind a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Josh is survived by his parents, Johnny J. Peña and Lizbeth Ortiz; sisters, Leslie Peña and Andrea Talley; pets, Cooper and Rocky; and an extension of close family and friends.
Josh attended Monarch High School and harbored dreams of becoming a pilot or a race car driver. His spirit thrived on the pursuit of adrenaline, and he was an enthusiast of all things that quickened the pulse - motorcycles, cars, Formula One racing, four-wheeling, and the sweet science of boxing.
Draped in his signature colors of black and red, Josh had a penchant for making inappropriate jokes, which endeared him to friends and loved ones. His magnetic charm made him a favorite among the ladies, and he reciprocated their affection with unwavering devotion to his family as a son and brother.
Tattoos adorned his body, each telling a unique story, like chapters in the book of his life. He found solace in reaching new heights, whether through his high-spirited adventures, getting baked, listening to music, or trips to the enchanting world of Disney. And Josh cherished the simple joys in life, often greeting the dawn with open arms on the tranquil beaches here in Florida.
As we remember Josh, we celebrate the indomitable spirit that will forever inspire us to live life to the fullest. His memory will live on in the hearts of his parents, sisters and pets. Though he may be gone, his legacy of passion, laughter, and love will continue to guide us through life's twists and turns.
Rest in peace, Josh, and may your spirit forever soar among the clouds you loved so dearly.
