Joanne Gibson Bowers

Bowers,Gibson Joanne, 78 of Pompano Beach, FL died Wednesday April 24, 2013. Joanne was born on October 13, 1934 in Milton, FL. She came to Pompano Beach in 1956 where she pursued a career in banking with Florida Coast Bank, Barnett Bank and Bank of America until retiring as Branch VP in 1997. Always involved in the community she was active with the Jr. Woman’s League and the Chamber of Commerce, where she served as one of the first woman officers. She is survived by her daughter Pamela, her brother Michael and her grandchildren Tiffany, Krystal, Ashley, Jessica, David and Julie. She has 9 great grandchildren. The children of her deceased sister Jean, Janet, Cathy and William mourn her passing. . She was preceded in death by her daughter Vickie. The family will receive friends Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1199 E. Sample Road Pompano Beach, FL on Friday May 10, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. . The Reverend Bernard Pecaro from St. Martin in Pompano Beach will officiate a brief service at 7:30 P.M. Inurnment services will take place at Forest Lawn North in Pompano Beach, FL at 11 A.M.on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
