Gary John DelVecchio

Gary John DelVecchio, age 66 of Coral Springs, died Saturday August 19, 2017 at Broward Health North Hospital. Gary is survived by his wife Jennie, son Gary Jr. (Christine), Daughter Brandi, Mother Frances, Brother Paul (Jacqueline), Brother Rodney, Granddaughters Jeanna and Olivia, along with cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his Father Paul DelVecchio.

Gary was born June 11, 1951 in Manhattan, New York moving to Florida with his family in 1970, marrying Jennie in 1972, and retiring from Motorola after 30 years of employment. Additionally, Gary served as a reserve in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973.

Gary was a great family man, and loved the times they were all together, no matter what the occasion, as it gave him a chance to enjoy one of his other passions, cooking. Besides traveling, especially to Disney and Siesta Key, he also enjoyed time on the water or just fishing off a pier.

To honor Gary’s wishes, no viewing will be held. Instead, a “beach casual” memorial is scheduled for family and friends on Wednesday August 23, 2017 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1199 NE 36thStreet Pompano Beach, Florida 33064. Flip-Flops are welcome and encouraged along with your favorite Tommy Bahama (type) shirts and shorts. At 7:00 PM Pastor Mark of the North Presbyterian Church of Coconut Creek will have words of faith and encouragement
