Frank was born on November 16, 1929, in Providence, RI, to the late parents Gabriel and Philomena (DeMarco).
Frank is survived by his wife of 70 years, Palma J (Conti) Ferri, his son, Frank & husband Tony Caparco, son, Robert Ferri & wife Denise, daughter, Phyllis Santilli & husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Russell and husband Ben, Stephanie and wife Lyndsey, Gabrielle and husband Michael, Frank and his wife Kristina, great grandchildren, Gabriel, Peyton, Jaxon, Kennedy, his sister-in-law Mary Ferri of Johnston, RI, brother Gabriel Ferri & wife Marie , of Cranston, R.I. He is preceded in death by his late brother, John, of Johnston, RI. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Frank grew up in Providence, graduated Central High School and attended Dean Academy in Franklin, MA. where he played football.
He was involved in several family businesses including, Modern Ice Cream on Federal Hill, A&W Root Beer in Cranston, and Town Hall Lanes Duckpin Bowling Lanes in Johnston, which was a life dream he fulfilled because of his love of the sport and the extended family of bowlers he adopted as a professional bowler. Of his many bowling achievements, he was most proud of his Hall of Fame inductions which includes the DBPA (Duckpin Bowlers Professional Association, NDBC (National Duckpin Bowling Congress) and the RIDBA (RI Duckpin Bowlers Association) and his two pro tour wins.
Frank & Palma moved to Florida in retirement. He was a Korean War Veteran and recently was honored in Washington, DC by Honor Flight South Florida who are dedicated volunteers honoring all American Veterans. Services will be planned at a future time.
