Cummings, Evelyn, I., 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in her granddaughter's home in Virginia Beach, VA. Evelyn was born September 19, 1922 to the late Helen (Jobe) and Orin L. Stuber in New Brighton, PA. She was employed by Babcock Willcox Steel, Beaver Falls, PA; Southland Corporation, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and the County Supervisor of Elections office in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from where she retired. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #59, Ft. Lauderdale, as well as the Oriental Shrine, Amosis Court, Ft. Lauderdale. Evelyn is predeceased by husbands John Yurmonovich and William Cummings, son William L. Kraus, and son-in-law Donald L. Burgess. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Burgess, Deerfield Beach, FL, daughter-in-law Kyoko Kraus, Tampa, Fl, seven grandchildren: Doreen Roadman (John), Donald Burgess (Diane), Lisa Quitoni (John), William Burgess (Tricia), Donna Mendez (Ralph), Kathy Maxey (Paul), and John Kraus, and nine great-grandsons. Private internment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Pompano Beach, FL on Friday, August 26, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Broward County, FL, 2070 Griffin Road, Ft Lauderdale, FL, 33312.
